The Shift dress: A simple, short, above-the-knee dress that is fitted at the bust with darts and has no definition to the waist. An evolution from the sack dress it was first shown by designers Hubert de Givenchy and Cristobal Balenciaga in 1957.
This dress has become a timeless silhouette that can be dressed up or down and is appropriate for any season. Paying tribute to my favourite store (although I'm sure you all know that already) I have to say that Zara did it again. They took this timeless piece and updated it with sheer sections. It makes it a little sexy, a little fun, and a little more me. Enjoy the rest of your week ^_^
